This game is adapted from Les Trois Mousquetaires by Alexandre Dumas,
first published in 1844. That novel is in the PUBLIC DOMAIN, and Tronsoft
Games claims no ownership of it, of its title, of its characters, or of
any translation of it that is itself in the public domain. Nothing in
this license restricts anyone's use of the underlying novel.

What is claimed is this package's own original expression: the room and
object prose, the puzzle design, the rule tables, the dialogue as written
here, the documentation, the artwork, and the code. Those are original
works and are licensed as set out below.


PERMITTED USE

This game is licensed for personal play through the Tronsoft Games
Portal. Portal subscribers may play it in a web browser as provided by
the portal.


REDISTRIBUTION

This package may not be copied, re-hosted, or redistributed outside the
Tronsoft Games Portal without written permission from the copyright
owner.


MODIFICATION

The files in this package may not be modified, decompiled, or used to
create derivative works without written permission. This does not
restrict the underlying public-domain novel in any way.


COMMERCIAL USE

Commercial use of this package or its assets is not permitted without a
separate written agreement.

THIRD-PARTY CONTENT

  * Tronsoft Interactive Fiction Engine, Core 2.3.0 — included under its
    own license (see the engine package). The engine files in js/core/,
    js/game.js and css/game.css are shipped BYTE-IDENTICAL to the
    published engine release; their SHA-256 digests are recorded in
    docs/engine-purity.json and are rechecked by validate.js.
  * No third-party fonts, images or audio files are included. All
    artwork was generated for this package; all ambience is synthesised
    at run time with WebAudio.
