Pitching: press 1–4 for one of the pitcher's four pitches, then I high, K low, J left, L right, Enter down the middle (U O N M for the corners). Every pitch bleeds a little stamina; a tired arm finds the middle of the plate. Batting: aim with the arrows (press again to recentre), Space to swing, B to bunt, S to send the lead runner. Timing decides pull or push; aiming under the ball lifts it. Fielding: the nearest man runs the ball down for you. With the ball in hand throw I second, J third, L first, K home, Enter to hold. Running:↑ sends the runners, ↓ holds them. M manager (lineup, defense, bullpen) · C the scorecard · P pause · F fast-forward · A audio · F5 save · Q quit. Two humans share the keyboard: whoever is batting has the arrows and Space, whoever is pitching has the numbers and I J K L.
