MEAN 18

Eighteen holes, a three-click swing, and a course editor. A browser tribute to the 1986 Accolade classic.

Players

How to play. Pick a club, aim with (or click the map), then click three times on the view: start the swing, set power on the way up, and stop the marker on the gold mark on the way down. Early is a slice, late is a hook. Wind pushes the ball in the air; rough, sand and trees cost distance; water and out-of-bounds cost a stroke and a drop.

Course editor. Draw fairways, greens, bunkers, water and trees as ellipses or polygons, place tee and pin, set par, then save it to your library or export it as a JSON file to share. Courses are plain JSON — see the format note in the editor.

Drag on the map to draw an ellipse; click points for a polygon and double-click (or Enter) to close it. Drag a feature to move it. Del delete, [/] layer down/up, R/E rotate, +/ or wheel to resize, arrows nudge. Later features paint over earlier ones. Coordinates are yards; the tee is at the bottom.
