PANZER BLITZ (Tronsoft Games edition) Eastern Front tactical armored combat, hex by hex. Command German or Soviet combined-arms forces across the three classic geomorphic boards, recreated here in an original tile style, and fight the situations that defined the grandfather of all tactical wargames. Fire is resolved on odds against a Combat Results Table. Terrain gives cover and blocks line of sight; hills let you see and shoot over intervening ground; artillery drops indirect fire through spotters. Units disperse before they die, transports haul infantry forward, and stacking rewards concentration -- mass your fire and you win the firefight. NINE SCENARIOS - 1941 PanzerBlitz -- an introductory single-board clash. - Situations 28-3/1 through 28-3/6 -- Tula, Kharkov, the 1942 delaying actions, Kursk, the breakthrough to Kharkov, and the 1945 drive on Kustrin, each on its own multi-board configuration with its own historical order of battle and victory conditions: seize a town, exit the map, break through to a far board, or win the points battle. - Two quick battles for a fast game. Deployment is automatic within each situation's setup zones, so you drop straight into the fight. Play the Wehrmacht or the Red Army against a heuristic AI validated across thousands of headless games. An unaffiliated fan homage inspired by the 1970 Avalon Hill classic.
