What’s new in Lords of Conquest v1.8.0
LORDS OF CONQUEST — CHANGELOG
LORDS OF CONQUEST
VERSION 1.8.0
Release Date: October 22, 2026
ADDED
- Realm Council, opened with Council or C, containing Trade Desk, Diplomacy and
Shipment Planner tabs.
- Custom trade drafts with expected acceptance, both stockpile projections,
your chosen building goal and the rival's city-funding outlook. A declined
offer keeps its draft for revision.
- Accepted small-swap suggestions that improve funding for a city, weapon, boat
or horse. Inspecting a suggestion prepares an offer without spending resources.
- Crown Market quotes with the complete payment resource, remaining annual
allowance, stockpile consequences and improving purchase suggestions.
- Diplomacy cards with truce expiry, expected replies and direct military
exposure. A separate Propose control sends the envoy during your Trade turn.
- Shipment previews with legal origins and destinations, exact routes and sea
legs, origin/destination defence and margin, stockpile safety, and reachable
lands before and after moving. A boat's relocation recomputes the network.
- Three named manual chronicles alongside autosave, accessible through Saved
games in the header and on the cover. Slots support loading, renaming, export
and confirmation before replacement or deletion.
- Recovery exports for unreadable archive records, and protection against
overwriting a slot changed by another browser tab.
CHANGED
- Committed changes during an active chronicle now update autosave, including
trades, shipments, development, phase undo and battles. Menus and inspection
do not themselves change the saved chronicle.
- Saved games opens the archive while Save continues to write the current game
to the existing autosave.
- Cover, archive and Codes loading share saved-data validation before replacing
the active realm. Invalid data is rejected without replacing the live game.
- Tutorial, README, descriptions, credits and release metadata document the
Council and saved chronicles.
PLANNING NOTES
- Offers, market purchases, truce proposals and moves commit only through their
action controls during the appropriate human turn.
- Suggested exchanges account for gold substituting for missing building
materials. "Resources ready" does not guarantee a legal building site.
- Truce exposure counts compare direct forces before dice and allies and honour
current truces. Shipment margins compare the strongest individual rival.
- Shipment paths use the current network. Moving a boat can change the lands
reachable from the stockpile afterward.
- Undo this Shipment phase restores all moves made in the phase. Planning and
previewing do not spend resources, move units or consume a random roll.
SAVE COMPATIBILITY
- Existing game identity, namespace (tronsoft_lords_of_conquest), autosave key,
save format and chronicle-code format are retained. The named manual archive
uses the additional key tronsoft_lords_of_conquest_archive.
- Three manual slots are separate from the one autosave. The package remains
the solo edition under specification v1.6.7 and manifest schema 1.6.
- Shared-screen saves retain the established migration to one human lord.
- The illustrated cover, core rules, computer-lord behavior and game balance
remain unchanged.
LORDS OF CONQUEST
VERSION 1.7.0
Release Date: October 22, 2026
ADDED
- Persistent resource dashboard showing your stockpile during computer turns,
ordinary next-harvest production and progress toward the city goal.
- Renown standings for comparing the houses; city victory is still checked at
year's end and renown is the victory measure when the year limit arrives.
- Build Planner for cities, weapons, boats and horses: exact material use, gold
substitutions, resource shortfalls, legal sites and baseline harvest estimates.
- Searchable, filterable Realm Atlas with locate-on-map inspection.
- Conquest target shortlist with projected odds and Preview access to the muster
roll before committing an attack.
- Browser fullscreen control where supported.
- R opens the Realm Atlas; B opens the Build Planner; Home centers your stockpile.
F continues to fit the whole map.
PLANNING NOTES
- Harvest estimates assume current lands and ordinary production, without random
fortunes, trade, spending, conquest or later unit movement.
- A horse born on an empty horse land deploys there; further births join the
stockpile while a horse remains on that land.
- Projected battle odds use expected allied support. Actual allied choices can
change the forces in a battle.
- The Atlas and Planner are available during a chronicle outside mandatory
battle/harvest dialogues, replay and the Map Workshop.
SAVE COMPATIBILITY
- The solo edition keeps its game identity and existing storage namespace
(tronsoft_lords_of_conquest), save format and chronicle-code format.
