BARBARIAN KINGS A multiplayer game of fantasy conquest for the continent of Allaven. Two to five kings contend for a broken continent. Govern provinces, tax them for gold, and raise armies from the old races of the land: ferocious Barbarians, wood-archer Elves, immovable Dwarves, cheap Orc hordes, thundering Knights, amphibious Warfrogs, winged Flying Men, skyborne Airships, and sea-ruling Fleets. Movement is simultaneous. You and every rival king write orders in secret, then all armies march at once. When hostile hosts meet they may fight -- resolved by comparing strengths, rolling the die, and reading the Combat Results Table -- or pass in wary silence. Kings and their wizards weave spells that scatter armies, raise the dead, freeze the seas, blight rival lands, and turn the tide of battle. Alliances are made and broken at will; the computer kings gang up on whoever leads. Win by mastering most of Allaven, or by casting down every rival crown.
