A game of buildup and position for two to six houses. Settlers raise everything you will ever own; soldiers take and hold ground. On a turn you may raise levies or march, never both. Terrain sets movement cost, defensive cover and what your settlers can raise all at once, and combat is decided by arithmetic rather than dice, so a campaign is won in the seasons before the fighting. Take every rival capital to rule the empire, or hold the mandate when the season closes.
