London, 1912. You are Edward Dunn Malone of the Daily Gazette, and you have just been told that you are not the sort of man a woman marries. A thousand feet of red rock in South America is about to become your problem. A dead man's sketchbook, forty feet of air, and an audience that will believe a drawing and a man's word of honour exactly as far as it believed them last time — which is not at all.
